What's Covered:
The intermediate agility course is for dogs and handlers who want to continue their training past the "individual obstacle on-lead" level. The intermediate level class focuses on developing a reliable performance on the obstacles, working towards full-height jumping and learning to sequence using various obstacle combinations. Dogs and handlers learn to negotiate two- and three-obstacle sequences using obstacles arranged in straight lines, right turns, and left turns.
Prerequisites:
Prerequisites for this class include the ability to guide the dog over each of the obstacles on-lead and some basic obedience training. The dog must sit, stay, down and come on command, regardless of distractions.
Cost:
$75.00 for5 weekly lessons. Each lesson is approximately 1 hour long. Also included are informative handouts. Prepayment of class fee, at time of mail registration, is required to reserve a place in the class. Class size is limited for personal attention.
